FAQ

How accurate are the estimates?

Estimates are based on total transferred bytes combined with configurable intensity factors (kWh/GB, gCO₂/kWh, and bandwidth cost/GB). Actual emissions can vary by data center region, CDN configuration, and caching. For compliance reporting, you can supply region-specific factors to improve precision.

What types of pages work best?

Public pages without authentication. Some sites block automated requests; when that happens, we return a best-effort result based on accessible assets. You’ll still receive optimization recommendations derived from the assets we can analyze.

Do you store my data?

By default, audits on this demo are stored locally in your browser (no server storage). Pro/Business plans will support private cloud storage, team access, and exportable audit history.

How should I interpret CO₂ per 1,000 views?

It approximates emissions for a thousand page views of the audited page. Use it to compare pages, track improvements over time, and estimate impact at your traffic volumes (e.g., 50k views ≈ 50 × the 1k figure).

How can I reduce my numbers quickly?

Compress large images, use modern formats (WebP/AVIF), defer or remove non-critical scripts, enable Brotli/gzip compression, and leverage a CDN with caching. Our recommendations list flags the largest opportunities by asset type.
